Hiram Bullock dies Hiram Bullock, onetime barefoot guitarist for David Lettermans TV-showband, died at the age of 52. Bullock had been fighting a tumor in his throat since January.
Over the course of his career -- from his mid ‘70s run with The Brecker Brothers to his various stints as a“hired gun” for everyone from Gil Evans, Carla Bley and David Sanborn to Michael Franks and Miles Davis -- Hiram Bullock earned his reputation as a bona fide guitar hero.
He also played with Barbara Streisand, Steely Dan, David Sanborn, the Brecker Brothers, Gil Evans, Carla Bley, Miles Davis and many more.
Bullock was born September 11, 1955 in Osaka, Japan and died July 25th. There are no words that describe the loss of a great musician and our beloved friend. Missin’ U! Artisthomepage
